Mr. Fadel Ndaw has more than 30 years of experience in the water and sanitation sector. He holds a Masterdegree from the Water and Environmental Engineering School of Strasbourg since 1984. He joined the World Bank office in Côte d’Ivoire in April 2019 as a Senior Water and Sanitation Specialist. Previously, he served in the World Bank’s Burkina Faso and Egypt offices from 2012 to 2018. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked from 2011 to 2012 for the African Water Association as Coordinator of the Water Operators Partnership in Africa and was based at Rand Waterin Johannesburg.
Mr. Ndaw is best known for his 15-year role from 1996 to 2011 in Senegal in implementing the urban water and sanitation sector reform and as coordinator of the Millennium Water and Sanitation Program. From 1984 to 1995, he coordinated the rural water and sanitation program of the UNDP in Senegal and worked in the Senegalese Consultancy firm SONED.
