Green Loop Environmental Consultants was established in July 2019, in Gaborone, Botswana. The establishment of the consultancy came about during the observation of the nations’ minimal knowledge of sustainability and environmen.tal-practices. When you look around the capital city of Botswana, Gaborone, and near-by surroundings, you notice a tremendous amount of pollution. An observation of stores still selling plastic bags, used tyres on the sides of the road, people littering from moving vehicles, polluted water streams and landfills filled with unsorted waste, are a few of the environmental challenges Botswana has to combat.

These challeng.es were identified through the assistance of her environmental and microbiological professional background, and passion for environmental issues. Green Loop is a youth lead initiative with a vision to turn Botswana around through a circular econo.my. A circular economy creates job opportunities, prevents adverse e.ect on human health and the environment. With determination and passion, Green Loop looks forward to contributing towards Botswana addressing the United Nations (UN) Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 and promoting a ‘zero-waste’ society.
