Andile Tlhoaele

Andile TLHOAELE is a non-executive chairperson of the EPR Waste Association of South Africa (EWASA) elected in August 2020. EWASA was established to manage the establishment of a sound EPR waste management system. TLHOAELE is also the chairperson on the B-BBEE ICT Sector Council elected in 2018 and re-elected again in 2020 for a term of four years. TLHOAELE serves as the chairperson of the MICT SETA 4IR Advisory Committee – the policy workgroup, one of the four advisory committees on the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) on research, labour and education.

TLHOAELE is knowledgeable on strategy development, innovation and black economic empowerment. He is one of the team of professionals who drafted the ICT Sector Code in 2003, the sector code that was published in 2012 under the B-BBEE Act of 2003. TLHOAELE is the former member of the Presidential B-BBEE Advisory Council subcommittee on Instruments to Promote B-BBEE Verification and Sector Charters. He is the former chairperson of the association of B-BBEE professionals (ABP) and former deputy chairperson of the MICT SETA board.

TLHOAELE also owns a number of companies operating in ICT, Media Advertising and Communications sub-sectors.
