David Lipschitz, an Honourary Lifetime Member of the South African Alternative Energy Association, computer scientist, mentor and energy expert with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree and a Cranfield MBA, has run a Software Development business since 1994, an Energy business since 2008, and started attending and speaking at energy conferences in 2009. In 2007 David became a Reiki Master to understand internal as well as external energy, and then David spent 8 years in a Buddhist Mindfulness Program from 2010 until 2017. David considers himself a habit changer who motivates people to change the way they think about their environment and shows people that it is possible to live a sustainable lifestyle with minimal impact on the earth. David has participated in conferences, workshops, and advisory boards. He has been interviewed on Satellite TV and on the radio, and his letters frequently appear in the press. David has received a number of energy and environmental awards for his services to the environment. In 2020, David started publishing books he had been researching and writing over the past few years, and in 2022, David published his sixth book and first thriller, The Last Blackout.
