Janavi Da Silva is an experienced environmental scientist, with 6 years experience in developing leadership and entrepreneurship skills and competencies in environmental professionals to enter the workplace and make a meaningful contribution to the green economy.
Having been the first person in her family to obtain a university degree, she felt the frustration of not know where to go or what to study. When her studies were complete, she had the added responsibility of finding a path in the green economy, with no guidance or advice. She worked in environmental consulting for 8 years before joining GreenMatterZA 6 years ago, where she now works as Director of Programmes.
Janavi is responsible for the implementation of programmes and business development for
the organisation.
She has extensive experience in and is passionate about coaching green professionals and entrepreneurs in the water, biodiversity and environmental sectors to reach their full potential and become highly effective, self-assured and emotionally intelligent leaders, who act responsibly to create a favourable future for all. As well as leaders who drive the environmental sector and have the personal freedom to pursue new opportunities with abundance mindset when solving environmental problems on a global scale.
She has a Masters in Environmental Science from the University of Johannesburg and a certificate in Social Entrepreneurship from GIBS Business School. And she is a registered professional natural scientist with SACNASP.
