Shamera Daniels has been involved in the South African fishing industry in different capacities for the past 26 years.
Currently she is a SMME right holder in various fishing sector and holds positions on various Industry Associations. She is currently the Vice Chairperson of South African Pelagic Industry Association (SAPFIA) and FISHSA (The umbrella body for commercial fishing industry in South Africa). She is also the independent Chairperson of The West Coast Rock Lobster Association
She is committed to being part of the solution for the real empowerment of black players in the South African fishing industry with specific focus on women.
She believes that it is “our job” to ensure that there are sustainable resources available for future generations
