Sixolise Mcinga, MSc Agriculture (Soil Science) is a Senior Analyst in sustainable agriculture working for GreenCape Sector Development Agency. Ms Mcinga works at the interface between business, government and academia in order to identify and remove barriers to economically viable green economy infrastructure solutions in sustainable agriculture, thereby catalysing their replicable and large-scale uptake and ultimately job creation.She has extensive experience in Conservation Agriculture and Regenerative Agricultural crop production methods. Ms. Mcinga completed her Masters in Soil Science at the University of Fort Hare for the Masters where she published two research papers to high impact journals and co-authored a book chapter on Conservation Agriculture on soil health: lessons from the University of Fort Hare long-term trials.
She is currently registered for her PhD in Agriculture at Nelson Mandela University titled “Agrimats as sustainable mulching materials and conditioners for degraded soils under different soil and climatic conditions”. Sixolise is a highly motivatedand skilled person who is also open to learning and self-development. She is looking to finish her PhD and drive the promotion of sustainable agriculture technologies in South Africa.
